this is Rearn Thai!
I’ve been frequenting this fab little local since 1995. I was amazed when I began to recall their original location. It was down from where Rearn Thai presently sits, on West Market Street in Greensboro. They had only 3 people working then and no more than 5 tables. You had to get there early or you’d wind up waiting outside until you could squeeze in a chair, wherever it may be. They have moved 2 more times since then (with-in a mile of each other) and have settled in to a beautiful building with FULL outside window views on all three sides of the dining area. The building is decorated in contemporary Thai decor and has the added bonus of out door patio seating (where my children prefer to be)!

This was the first place I ever tried “Pad Thai”, an original dish from Thailand. I still find myself comparing all other Thai food to Rearn Thai today. *Hint:If you like it hot, order the extra spice dish for your table… NOT for the weak of stomachs hearts!!!
Ground Chicken Basil
Stop in, try something new or have an old familiar dish, enjoy the atmosphere and remember they were the “original” Thai Restaurant in the Triad. And yes, today they have plenty of seats, except on Friday, when they offer the Shrimp Pad Thai as a lunch special. You better get there before noon or you’ll be on the wait (but it’s worth it!).
Oh yea, I forgot to mention… every day they offer a variety of “lunch specials” which includes a spring roll for only $6.95! Hope you enjoy RT as much as I have for the past 14 years!!!

That looks delish!!! I have actually never had Thai food before. Will definitely check it out sometime soon! Now I must clean up the drooling I did from staring at your pictures…tee hee!!
I adore Pad Thai! With shrimp or tofu is divine. I have not been to Rearn Thai before and had always wondered how it was, this was good to know. But now my chicken for dinner is not looking so good.
That is one of my favorite places to eat! Love the food there and the people that work there are so nice! I think that might be my next meal out!
