Look what’s happening this Wednesday in Stokesdale… a true taste of the south just in time for your Thanksgiving Gatherings. All the sweets with-out ALL the hassle. Just remember, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Parkers Restaurant is a small cafe on Highway 158 in Stoksedale, but trust us on this… it’s worth the drop-in to see these incredible deserts made by Cindy!!! And one more thing, she NEVER freezes any of her goods to make them ahead of time, so order them ahead and you won’t regret the fresh homemade goodness of Parker’s desserts!

Parker’s Restaurant has been serving the Stokesdale – Summerfield communities with good home cooking for over 51 years.  “Because we eat most of our meals here, we go the extra mile to insure the quality is there”, says Jerry Joyner, the owner.  “We use only real butter in our cooking and do our best to insure our customers are eating quality wholesome foods every time.  We still use fresh potatoes for our creamed potatoes.  We make our own hushpuppies, breads and desserts.  We always use fresh hamburger for our burgers and hamburger steaks.  Our daily specials are always fresh top quality meats and vegetables.  Our onion rings are made right in our own kitchen.  We have recently added our own pulled barbecue.”

Parker’s also now caters parties and wedding receptions for up to two hundred people.  Jerry’s wife, Cindy, has brought in many new specialty desserts and also does wedding cakes, wedding planning, and floral design. If full service catering is a little too much this season, check out our larger group Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners “to go” and our appetizer and specialty dessert menus for your holiday parties.

So here’s a sample of just a few of the goods you will be tasteing this coming Wednesday. Please, Please, Please take a moment to go fill you sweet tooth and tell them “Seek” sent ya! Don’t forget it’s this Wednesday, November 18. 10am-2pm & 5pm-8pm

I adore Parker’s — and I am NOT related, though I wish I were! All of their food, whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, is simply scrumptious and the people are really great!!! Give yourself a treat and go eat at Parker’s. It is definitely worth the short drive to get there!!!

My husband and I have been faithful customers for almost 10 years now and highly recommend Parker’s. The food is good home-syle cooking and now with the catering and deserts available, it is everything one needs. We have tasted and ordered several deserts from Cynthia and every one has been fantastic! (Especially the Coconut Cake, Yum!!)

My mouth is watering from those gorgeous photos. I often pass by Parker’s but I’ve never stopped. That will probably change now :)
