Red Dress Day!!!

Red Dress Day!!!

Seek promised to feature a charity a month and what better foundation to support during this “Sweet Heart” month, but The American Heart Association. Not to mention the “Go Red” where EVERYone wear’s a red dress or shirt or whatever is red to show your support!!!

Did you know?

Stroke deaths will double in the next 20 years, say researchers who estimate the disease will kill 286,000 Americans in 2023. During this same time period the U.S. population will grow by only 28 percent. The women of the Triad are joining with the women around the nation to Go Red For Women on Friday, February 5, National Wear Red Day, and throughout February, American Heart Month.

Choices: We face them every day.  Some choices aren’t important, while others are life changing.  But

Ladies in red

what if the seemingly unimportant choices were the ones that mattered most?  Like choosing to take the stairs, not the elevator?  Opting for baked instead of fried?

What if these choices influenced whether you were the one in every three women to die of heart disease this year?

Choosing to ignore your heart health might not seem life changing today, but women are dying of heart disease at the rate of almost one per minute.  Luckily, this No. 1 killer is largely preventable.  We simply have to choose to act.

Our Hearts, Our Choices.  Together we can beat heart disease with Go Red For Women.
