Trish was on a hunt for a vintage broach for a project she has been working on. She knew right where to go, Thrill of the Hunt. Carol got it right when she picked the name for her Greensboro store. Her store is packed with so many vintage goodies! Here are some of the delicious things we found on the hunt for “The Broach”.

Vintage Broach's!

Vintage Broach's!

Just look at all these amazing broach’s we found!  They are fun to use to dress up a jacket or sweater that needs some new life. There are so many other things in life that can be dressed up with a piece of costume jewelry or a bedazzled broach like these. This is just what Trish did when she used a vintage broach as a centerpiece for a beautiful bow on her latest project over at Life to the “T” We know that there are a lot of super creative and very crafty people out there in the Triad that could really come up with some great ideas as well!

Hands down Thrill of the Hunt is THE place to go for vintage furniture that has been perfectly {and we mean perfectly!} painted and distressed. Jen Grabiec is in charge of transforming everyday pieces into fabulous showpieces that can be used anywhere!  She even teaches a very popular furniture painting class at Thrill of the Hunt in the evenings. MJ has experienced the class first hand, and fell in love with the furniture painted look!  {Check out all MJ’s projects at One Nutty Girl} The various colors that Jen uses on the furniture she paints are amazing as well!  She will also custom paint your own piece.

You don’t have to be hunting for anything in particular when you go to Thrill of the Hunt.  Carol welcomes you to come look and poke around any time you need a fix! Carol reminds us that “You can’t order this stuff from a catalog!”  No website here, this is just the kind of place you have to experience first hand.  You need to feel and touch this stuff to really appreciate all Thrill has to offer.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Thrill of the Hunt! Carol, Janice and Jen (the BEST furniture painter around!) are all wonderful and helpful. We recently furnished a cabin in the mountains and a lot of it came from here! Carol even delivered the furniture to our home in Summerfield- FREE OF CHARGE! What service. Jen is great at painting- even if it’s a piece you have at home that wants new life. ;-) Definitely visit here if you haven’t already!! You’ll fall in love.
